FIT (Families In Training) Membership Policy Enhancement
In June 2022, we announced that the FIT membership policy was expanded from covering employee's spouse or domestic partner after 60 days of employment to now including dependent children up to age 26 and the eligibility was based on working at least 16 hours per week.
Update:
Upon consideration, the eligibility for this policy is being modified ONLY for group exercise instructors eff. 1-1-23 where they will qualify if they regularly work 5 or more hours per week (subbed classes count in total hours). This aligns with the 5-hour requirement that qualifies GEX instructors for the performance review process. Newly hired GEX instructors meeting this hours requirement will be eligible on the first of the month following 60 days of employment and current instructors will be eligible immediately if they have averaged 5 or more hours/week over the prior 60 days. The Benefits department will conduct periodic audits to confirm ongoing eligibility.
